Cedro has an integrated quality control system, QA – Assured Quality, which guarantees manufacturing excellence of the fabrics at all industrial stages, from cotton processing, going through the thread, up to the finished product.
As a tool to follow up on quality, in all stages of production, CEP system - Process Statistical Control is adopted, which brings together data for the follow up of quality. Problems are detected and taken care off still in the manufacturing process. These preventive measures add benefits to the final product.

Colours |

Colour fidelity of the fabrics is assured by the QA, in the colorimetric laboratory, where the nuances classification is done, guaranteeing colour uniformity of the fabrics. The laboratory also helps in the development of hues of new collections and analyses dyes – new and in production. The measurement of nuances is done by spectrophotometer, an apparatus which measures the fabrics colorimetric co-ordinates. The data shows the colour and its variations. The classification system prevents the approval and commercialization of fabrics which do not have high fidelity of colours. |

Physical Strength |

To guarantee fabric strength and durability, the company carries out dozens of daily tests at all stages of production. Surveys are carried out on samples with regards to thread and fabric strength and quality. They are humidity and temperature, residue percentage, thread twist, seam strength and weave. Besides this, physical tests of abrasion, stretching and shrinkage (AATCC96), tearing (NBR 9925), dimensional stability and tear and traction resistance (ISO 5081) (woof and weave) are carried out. |

QA foresees chemical tests such as aniline, technical fabric flammability, bath and fabrics' pH, starch content and hidrofidelity of bleached fabric analysis. Tests are also carried out in the Cloth Room, where all the possible defects are traced and corrective and preventive measures are taken. This control is carried out on all Cedro fabrics, guaranteeing product quality for day-to-day use, avoiding the wear and tear on the simple contact with human body perspiration, for example. |
